What are the types of windshield wipers?

Windshield wipers are divided into flat bar wipers and bow wipers:

Bow wipers: Bow wipers are held by a metal bracket and are most often used on the rear window or in old vehicles still in the front. They are less expensive than flat bar wipers. For aerodynamic properties, they are available with or without spoilers, depending on the installation location.
Flat bar wipers: They do not contain joints and are mostly used in modern cars by the windshield. What influences lead to increased wear of windshield wipers?

Always scrape off ice first with an ice scraper or use a defroster
Rough dirt with the hand or with a hand brush remove
Clean the front and rear windows regularly with a glass cleaner
Do not use aggressive cleaning agents to clean the wiper rubbers, as these attack the protective layer of the rubbers
Protect windscreen in winter with a cover
